I had the same oil leaks as you mentioned... as ridiculous as this sounds, the oil leak seemed to fix itself after the 15,000km service.

the only thing that I can think of is that maybe they use a thicker oil at the 15,000km service?

also, I see you're in brisbane... dont bother with any other service center other than the one at Woollongabba..

I went to 4 different ford service centers and they were all useless.

edit: for the record, the amount of oil leaking out of a AIR TIGHT pipe join was stupid. if you ran your finger on any of the joins of the cooler piping, your finger would be wet with oil. I had a looking inside the pipe and it was dripping. also, it was dripping out of the top join on to my intake manifold...

one service center just said that they'll tighten the clamps more so that it doesnt leak anymore... WTF!?!?! dont try to hide the problem you morons, just fuqn fix it!!! haha

gee that looks messy.

pull off the pipe to the turbo and see how bad it is there.

I checked mine the other week and only had a very small amount. and the pipes were clean.

That looks like way too much to be normal.. Pull the cone pipe off the front of the turbo and see how much oil is in the base.. Should be minimal..

Let it sit for a few minutes after you turn it off.

No idea matey. That'd be between you and the dealer.. . There shouldn't be a heap.. I've uploaded a photo of mine after the cone pipe was taken off.. It's only a very small amount of oil..

Don't forget the crankcase is vented back into the intake. That's where most of that comes from.

So would it being overfilled with oil at the dealership cause excess oil in the pipes? Just thinking that everytime my car has been serviced by a dealer it's come back with oil well past the Full mark on the dipstick.
