Fg Xr6T ( Anyone Else Have Many Problems )

hey guys bought my fg xr6t in october 2011 brand new done 2500kms in it. now I havent had anything but problems with it to be honest.

1. the hard lid had to be replaced since it was damaged prior to delivery

2. dash spear needed to be replaced since it was damaged in pre delivery

3.the gearbox needed to be pulled out and put back in because of horrible noises that some of you may seen.

4.the fog lights have gone milky because mositure must of got in them

5.and I have loud rattleing sounds from the rear when I am driving.(that u can hear inside the car with windows up)

had my 2 month check up and now I have a couple of oil leaks where the arrows are on the picture. after I left the dealership and its not little its a fair amount and really shouldnt be any for a new car.

has anyone had this much drama I am fed up and I am going to see if I can seek legal advice. any help would be appreciated

I have not really had and major issues, but what was the noise that your gearbox was making? I have a 6sp Manual, and it is making (and has since new) strange noises.

I have been told by the dealer that it is simply "rollover" noise from the gearbox.

It is a "gumbling" noise when in neutral at idle????

How much vibration do you fellas get in the cab when the cars at idle?? Mine doesn't make strange noises but I've been in big 8's that feel alot nicer when idling..

I feel for you cmitc, not what you want or expect from new car.

the only prob iv got with mine is the milky foggies

and the arrows you have pointed to, seem odd to have oil leaking from! it looks like you have pointed to the joins in the cooler piping?

Yeah the build quality seems to have dropped off quite a bit in the FG unfortunately, it's the price you pay for a cheap performance car I guess.

Where you've pointed to the leaks in the cooler piping.. Either replace the piping with an aftermarket kit (Necessary if you wanna do mods) or replace the clamps with some decent stainless ones from Autobarn or something..

hey guys yeah the yellow pointers are where the oil is coming out off and yeah I could get aftermarket piping which would be better but I gotta think warranty if I am having this much trouble 2 months in whats it going to be like in 10months hate to say. I payed a little extra to get a new car so I didnt have any problems but now I am starting to think otherwise I know its getting fixed for free but still its new. Are those pipes I pointed to not ment to have oil in them ?? I dnt know much bout turbo set ups and stuff like that.

Don't change anything just keep going back until they fix what you want. If not drive car through front of showroom. Sorry to hear.

They'll always get a bit of oil inside them.. TO do with the oil feed to the turbo and then the turbo pushing air through them.. But enough to leak makes it a bit of a concern..
