"tap" Warning Light

The little orange "tap" light on my dash came on today :(

Temp was just above 1/4 and reservoir was as per normal, so fk knows.

Ring ford in the morn and see what they say, sounds like more extended warranty work for them.

Anybody have the same error come up, and if so what was it?

Well that’s crap, just rang my ford service guy, reckons yes, they’ll look at it, but charge me. Reckons that last time he did warranty work on the car he got into trouble with ford and had to pay for the repairs out of their budget. Something about the extended warranty on the car not being transferable between owners or only once....

I will ring 1300 FORD and escalate the situation. He reckons nowhere on the extended warranty does it state that it’s not transferable. When I bought the car, I rang ford and asked them. They said it stayed with the car, regardless.

On the extended warranty they are offering now the wording is 'transferable at Ford's discretion' or something.

^^^^ did cross my mind. Just checked the owners manual, the little orange tap, on constantly with no flashes or beeps is telling me its an emissions related issue.

Need to get a scan tool on it. Wish my Blue tooth OBcd dongle would arrive already!!

Il be onto 1300 Ford at lunch time, razz them up a bit if they wont give me answers or proof.

Couldnt even tell the dealer where in the sytem it said it wasnt transferable, almost "just becuase" like my 3 year old daughter tells me

Try and disconnect the battery for a while and then re connect it. Some times it works. If it comes back then you know youve got problems

Clearing the code may hinder getting to the source of the problem until it reoccurs again
