I agree with Aaron, no point spending 2k+ on Tein's just to look cool. Odd's are you wont like the ride quality with Tein's because they'll be too stiff.

You're probably better off just getting a good spring/shock combo for ride height. You'll save heaps of money and it will look the same. Just don't expect to be able to go around corners as fast as someone with a coilover setup.

The tein for $2000 are the street series, not the performance ones which are too hard really for a daily driver. The difference is the spring rates.

Cant fault my Pedders for a quick street car. No issues at all so far :spoton:

Be it Pedders/Teins/XYZ's/BC/Whatever there will always be off the shelf one size fits all spring and shock combos that will out perform at street driving speeds but the hieght adjustablity of coilovers is why I went for them. In not talking about winding them up and down once a week.

Im taking about setting the car up to suit your particular driving style, wheels/tires etc. My car is far from the lowest out there but it handles pretty bloody well for a taxi these days.

Low and ride quality don't go in the same sentence. Usually. Your taking what use to have 3" of travel to play with to 1"

The cheaper coil overs will feel ok, even great on the road. For a while. You get what you pay for. And to be honest the Teins are cheap for coil overs. It's not hard to pay ten times the amount of teins.

I've heard of two pedders ones failing now. My Teins are a few years old and have been flogged. Track work, dirt roads, god they shine on dirt roads. And as a general daily work pig. And it still feels as tight as when they were fitted. They have shaken the dash to bits and it rattles a bit now.

So yeah for mine I would be sh*tty with myself if I paid three quarters of what the teins were for half the product.

Ive got pedders xtreme adjustables on the rear of mine with all the good bushes & it's made a massive difference to the handling & feel of the car. I love the way it feels on the track & the street but it is on the stiff side but you notice it more so at slower speeds on the street. My wife hates it but I think the rigidity has to do with the 20 odd profile on my 20's now but my word with the new lsd, whitelines & the adjustables its so predictable & really does feel like an oversized gocart & on the highest setting it sits perfectly in the guard.

I am currently getting tein adjustable coil overs for 2000 fitted they are costing me 1500

I am confused. Are you getting them for fifteen and then 2G to fit ??? Or were quoted 2G fitted and paying fiteen. Cause that is very cheap.

Or is that fifteen second hand for the set.

Mmm Temping. Mine is very close to going back to stock. Mmm. Garage sale.
