Waste of money. A bigger cam will not see the same gains as different components in the same price range.

After 8 or so years there are proven methods to modding these cars which you should follow.

If you want a big lumpy cam at idle get an LSx motor...

Cams for 280 or whatever + valvesprings + labour to fit + Specific retune to suit = HEAPS. Listen to Brods . Want a rough idle ? Unclip the wiring off one injector LOL.

Wow.. good info guys... If the guy wants to spend his money let him FFS..

Go to Atomic Performance website, they have a few cam types and they are suited to our cars..

I had a cam in my old VS V6, and loved it, sounded tuff and when it kicked it was like having a midget turbo lol..

A camshaft change can be beneficial in some instances. I picked up about 20rwkw changing for BA cams to FG cams. The later model cams help the engine not to lay over at the upper rev range.

To get a camshaft with the lumpiness, your talking atomic stage 4+ cams, hardly a cheap upgrade and they wont do much other than lump and chew fuel , theyre designed for guys running large turbo and alot of boost.
