My door actuators continue to fail (new or not) to the point now I don't bother to fix them - car looks locked and now just hope for the best...... unclewal Donating Members 583 Member For: 14y 7m 24d Posted 30/06/11 04:16 AM Share Posted 30/06/11 04:16 AM car started using a HEAP of fuel, went from 12L/100 to 15L+, noticed car would go ok but was lacking real punch, so I check all the intercooler piping and lo and behold found the damn hose that connects to the throttle body had a tear 1/3 the way around it so was just venting boost to the air as soon as you would get on the pedal. $20 later and all fixed, car had only done 15000kms so that sh*t me alot ! The fact that I've now had 3 different turbos on my car, or that pretty much my whole driveline has given way in some form over the last year and a half. The way that this car seems to constantly have a new fault. Fantastic motor, great interior, next car will probably be a Holden. CBXRT Banned 643 Member For: 14y 5m 21d Gender: Male Posted 30/06/11 06:04 AM Share Posted 30/06/11 06:04 AM (edited) Brad - do you reckon with a Expensive Daewoo nothing goes wrong? Im not either a Ford or Expensive Daewoo man (but have owned both, and would buy either again if it was the right car), and trust me, Expensive Daewoo cannot match Ford's rock-solid engines and gearboxes (stock).....if you modify, well, you can't complain if things go wrong! bradles024 Donating Members 1,145 Member For: 15y 6m Gender: Male Posted 30/06/11 11:48 AM Share Posted 30/06/11 11:48 AM My car is stock. Holdens use the same gearbox, and surely a n/a v8 would outlast a turbo straight six durability wise.
