Whats The Best Petrol To Use?

The best fuel is the one your car was tuned on.

If its untuned then any 98 will be the go although I have always used BP98 and never had a problem at all. I have seen good economy results with my work cars with BP98 as against useing the cheap sh*t 91 octane slush even though the cars are fine to run it.

If you have your car edited ( flashed/ tuned) on 98, you should ALWAYS run your car on that fuel..ie don't have it tuned on 98 and then thrash it on 91.

That's it dre, 98 is pretty much 98. Any differences would be in your head not in the tank.

I would have to disagree, maybe one is not better than the other like some of us feel but there are differences I'm sure of that.

Ever noticed that when you fill up your instant fuel consumption on idle changes? Mine sometimes drops by 0.4 l/h guessing computer senses some sort of a change. There were people on here also reporting black soot on the rear bar on certain fuels (think it's shell but not 100% sure).

That's why I said "pretty much". Just like you've said "maybe one is not better like some of us feel".

There would be small differences in What they add to it. But the good brands should be honest and what's sold as 98 should be 98.

Never noticed the fuel consumption, never bother looking it at. Wouldn't trust it to be honest.

the old shell optimax, or otherwise known as optisort was crap. but have gone back to vpower and no probs, went from using mobil but since they were taken over by 7/11 have changed. there fuel gets delivered by TOLL trucks just don't know where there fuel comes from. the servo's with high turnover, are the ones that have the shopper discounts.
