Hi Fellows,

I have sold my BF F6 a few months back and I am currently driving work Cars (Camry) and I need to get a new car asap I am slowing dying driving this car.

my big dilemna is do I save a few dollars and go a speced up GS or go the whole hog and get the GT.

the best prices I have been quoted so far are 58K drive away GS with Leather and dual zone. and 69500 drive away for the GT with leather. (any one got better prices I am all ears)

my theory is the GT and GS are the same car for the exception of 4 pot brembos and some body kiting, is that worth 11.5K extra.

on the flip side my head says if your spending near 60K you are better off spending that bit more to get the GT street Cred and Resale.

I am in two minds my Heart says GT & my brain says GS.

I want to make a decsion by week end and if anyone can recomend any good dealers that would do me a better price that would be great.

Cheers

I'm in the same situation mate.

After stewing on the same issue for a while, I'm leaning toward the GT myself.

I figure you would more then likely make the majority of that $$ difference back just purely on the resale...I could be wrong though??

Not only that, as you said you get the Brembo's which would make up a big chunk of that price difference.

Premium audio (for the colour screen - Should be standard!!)

The better body Kit

Not sure if the suspension is the same between the two though?

Not to mention the fact that it is a GT!

I guess, if you weren't going to spend anymore than the couple upgrades you mentioned, and you can put up with the car looking like a standard FG XR6, the GS is the way to go.

Also, I wonder how much longer we will have to wait for the new series to be released? I mean, you may be able to pick up a GT for a bit cheaper then?

Man I envy your position. I think it does come down to if you want to mod it, how far you wanna go with the mods and how long you plan to keep it. id rather buy the GS and spend 10k on it but if your not looking to go wild id much rather the GT.

I was in the same situation. in the end I went for the GT.

Came down I one simple reason, I just liked the look and feel of the GT much much better. It might be just me but when your looking at cars like these I think its better that your heart over rules your head.

Go the GT I can guarantee you wont regret it.

If the series 2 is getting an interior like the New Terry. It will be worth the wait. The 8" screen is brilliant and I like the way the ICC sticks out more. It will make the current Premium screen seem pretty basic. It has nice finishing trim around the handbrake and stuff to. Just looks so much more thought out and refined.

If I was going the GS I would go a demo. Fark paying new for an old looking car. It could make a great sleeper debadged and no stripes. And a tuned and cooled motor under the hood.

So yeah if I was going the GT I would wait.

Going the GS it would be all about tuning the motor.

Ford dealers are screaming for sales right now. Cash in hand you could rape them.
