I don't know enough about intake design pass any judgements on volume. I'm sure there's some members that are though. Hopefully they'll see this thread and help you out.

OK thanks

I am restricted with materials to what I find lying around the workshop though. This one has cost me nothing but time so far.

I might just finish it and see how it performs on the dyno. It's a lot quicker and easier to change over than the original and there will be a dyno set up in our workshop in the next few weeks to add another retarder to.

I'm guessing the AFR's will be reasonably similar in each cylinder too due to the large body size and rounding and it will be a top center entry same as the last one.

There's been a couple of threads with a lot of discussion on plenum design. If you do a search you might be able to find them. I'll have a look tomorrow when I'm back on the PC.

Running 325wkw 680nm @ 14psi & 4600rpm as of this afternoon. Had it up to 420wkw last time on the dyno but not for a sustained length of time.

My ugly plenum made better power and had very good response but I will stay with the standard one for now because I'm not sure if the other one had rich or lean cylinders.

Small update:

After running the factory plenum for some time now I have gone back to my "ugly plenum" (flat-top built on original chopped runners but with a paint job).

It runs at least as well without a re-tune and there is a load more space under the bonnet. I actually think it runs better with faster response but will wait for the dyno results. I am also running a boost gauge now and I can see where the boost spikes so I can avoid those situations.

The round one didn't work out, I think because the runners aren't as long so the sweet spot would be too high in the rev range.
