If you have the seatbelt on and then take it off while moving in a sedan, does it start chiming again?

Are utes different then? Or is it a build timing thing?

Mine comes on once you start moving, but after latching the seatbelt and then removing it again the chime stops and the light stays unlit until the vehicle is turned off again.

To permanently disable the Seat Belt Reminder:

1. Drivers seatbelt ON

2. Hold Hazard Lights button for 30sec

3. Turn Ignition on

4. Unplug and replug seatbelt

5. Should see light flash on dash

.... thereafter, the seatbelt warning light will light for a few seconds when you first turn the car on and then go out.. no chimes... I.e. it'll start acting like the seatbelt warning in other cars!

Tried that - Didnt work for me; the hazard lights came on after releasing it - but no other light flash on dash...

One question.

Why would you.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Because when driving between 2 or more farm gates that I have to get out to open and close (non-public road) - it's a pain in the ain with that sucker chiming away...

Must be a build timing thing then (mine's Oct 03). Glad mine is the way it is though.

Anyone know how to actualy remove the seatbelts completely....

Come to think of it I heard milk crates make good sports seats....
