So that rules out the ba / bf thing.

Not when you're running the BA calibration.

I thought the actual processor was different too.

It could be a lot of things really.

I don't know enough to comment any further. Hopefully you get it sorted.

Just took it for a good half hour of driving in traffic. Got home and tested to see if it would have same problem. But starts fine.

The mystery continues...

I would at least get it to a mechanic just to check things over, even though its now starting the whole BA/BF thing sounds concerning. last thing you want is a f*d motor again

Yeah, Ill give a tuner a ring, see who has done a conversion. Im sure the BA ecu is fine with a BF motor, but the last thing I want is trouble with this motor. It wouldnt hurt to book it in now any ways, most places have a long wait.

Im sure this wont be the last I see of this problem.

My stock BF does this exact thing, 3 different batteries and it still happens. Mine also likes to continue to turn over, not fire, and then pop out the exhaust. This usually happens when the car is hot and its a hot day. With both of these issues it always starts second kick though. Mechanic will check it out in January.

Damn thing just did it again at te petrol station. After working fine for a good 10 starts. I decide to get petrol and I can't get it going. Annoying.

Now it won't crank at all. Can here what sounds like a solenoid. Plenty of battery. Starter motor like possum suggested?
