Hi all, just getting opinions on roughly how long you think I should be running her in before modding..

Top of the tailpipes need a clean!! :)

Nice looking ute. Interesting question though, when is the engine run in enough to mod I wonder? 5000ks?

Don't run it in soft! (as I keep spamming in these 50th anniversary threads) :sleepystuff:

don't bother running it in... just thrash it straight off the floor!

...but if you REALLY want to be anal about it, then just go easy on the RPM for the first 500km, then go nuts...

Yeah, I wanna aim for low 300's. so you reckon it would be fine to start tuning her shortly? its got 500 on the clock already

Go for it, mine went in for its 3000km service on its 2nd set of tires, never had a problem engine wise.

As for the rest of the driveline....

sounds good, just gotta sort some parts out hopefully through hiro as I see he is from brisbane aswell. looking at keeping it all plazmaman, will just start collecting gear now and in hopefully 3 monthsish time just do the mods all in one big hit.

First thing you need to worry about is the fender gap on the rear. Get some spacers and pump those wheels out to the guard. They look sh*thouse with that crap offset on the rear.
