I have my pink slip inspection getting done by Ford next week along with a service, I have just recently installed a set of angel eyes but did wire them up with spade connectors so I can swap back to the stock parkers if needed.

Has anyone had any issues passing rego checks with angel eyes or is there nothing to worry about?

This way I can just switch back to stock and get passed easily if they are not legal.

Not sure about other states, but they are not RWC in Vic

Should also mention, it is not just they are unrwc if left connected, they make the headlight unrwc once it has been modified, even with the factory park light still operating

20years ago when I did pink slips, all lights on the car had to work and any additional lights needed to comply with the regulations. The reg were mainly about the colour of the lights front and rear. Too pass technically you need the parkers plugged in. Having the angel eyes would be fine, but the stock lights need to function.

That being said, they shine more light than parkers, so common sence may apply.

My testers concerns were about them not applying to any ADR's and that they attach to the headlight reflector which may interfere with the correct operation and shape of the light beam. assuming they lights have no visible condensation etc from the install

I could be wrong but from what I have been told aslong as you have them disconnected you should be ok. Even with a switch they are still considered connected. dontknow.gif

Although I am in NZ where there are no car laws...well maybe a couple but not as bad as Aust. I get a WOF (inspection) every 6months and angel eyes havent failed once. I put it down to the angel eyes on my car being clear light, not red or blue. As long as it is a white light it shouldnt be a problem. Park lights are only to allow other motorists to see you.

Thanks for the input guys, Sounds like there is not too much to worry about, As far as I know technically the parkers just have to be a forward facing white light, which the angel eyes are,

Ive seen a few cars around which have used the LED strips (ripping off the new HSVs) and I think the angel eyes look more factory than them.
