Loved one of Katter's (I think it was) speeches where he suggested that Gillard needs to fly in to an airport that can't take a 747, speak with the locals who just want a doctor and not a super clinic, reliable phone before fast broadband etc... Pretty much sums up the ignorance of not only politicians but the electorate at large.

Canada, China ( flood gates about to open on F&Veg) USA.We used to be self sufficient but are now net importers

across most food categories IIRC This is largely due to the lack of protection and supprt for the man on the land from govts over the past 3 decades, and the duoploly of WW and Coles screwing to death who ever is left

China is also buying up large tracts of Aussie farming land as it prepares to feed itself in the future.

so let me put this out there we owe billions of dollars that has been wasted on crap.

WE are loosing more and more industraries to china,japan and who ever.

Now china wants our farming land for there food.

How about we do something to save this nation and give ourselves sercuity instead of wasting more money on schools ect and 40 billion on what will be an outdated and useless broadband network and start putting some of if not all of this money into our regional areas like farms and small industraies so they can compete against china and hey presto we not only stop china taking over us but we save the country from the true global crises that is yyet to hit.
