At the risk of being abused............ Is the top of the engine an airfilter cover off a KIA bus???

Cant wait to see these cars, and maybe buy one, but I have to say dissapointed with the look of the top of the motor. Whats wrong with Alloy??

On the up side gives the after marketers somthing extra to design and sell, maybe even a Shaker??

What I want to know is WHY THE HELL DID THE FPV BOYS NOT WIDEN THE REAR RUBBER ????

I mean seriously they can surely widen up the rear to 275 without too much DSC and brake calibrations ?

FFS these cars are pushing up some serious HP now and they insist on sh*tty dunslop rubber and 245 wide tyres. Dealers will need to offer drag radials as a dealer fit option :spit:

Not so simple answer: durability.

ZAP - We dealer fit whatever you like, as long as its street legal... We may just void your warranty for that 'part' of the vehicle.

Certainly good reason to not take what you say with any form authority that's for sure! ;)

will certainly change the V8 game.

Whatever, I'm bored of talkin about it already...

I am sure FPV will find that wider tyres will make them more durable and less prone to excessive wheelspin :pinch:

Anchor I know that dealers will bend us over for aftermarket wheels, but I like the stock wheels, I would just like them wider.

I think that FPV spent all their R&D money on motors, badges and stripes and left nothing for wheels :roflmbo:

If you dont think we would pay a grand or two more for decent rubber and driveline bushes when what ??? were dropping the best part of 80 anyway with the options we will all want...... then your ....... MAD

Durability for the driveline, because the spinning wheels happily take the brunt instead of the mechanics! That's my understanding of the comment anyway. Still a shame they don't widen them, but what's new!

Would cost more than a few grand... and more than a couple of bushes. The NVH would also be affected. Cheaper to keep replacing bushes under warranty.

But nothing stops the buyer from buying new bushes and big tryes. Just don't expect Ford to replace all the other weak components you were too cheap to replace yourself.

I still recon this is one of the CHEAPEST looking motors I have seen for a long time! I like the look of the N/A Coyote engine. Why couldnt they use abit mote imagination with the top of the motor? I know may of you dont care what an engine looks like aslong as it performs, but I would like both! A
