September 14, 200422 yr #231 WTF......... $21.....did they greet you take your car drive it around the block once and tell you to come back in 3 hours??????you can't buy decent oil or an air filter for that much..... let alone the fluid in the washer that stops the bugs sticking to the windscreen.....I would be very dubious of any one who can do any service on a T for under $100my 2 cents worth
October 18, 200421 yr #232 Hey voy, just had my 45,000km service today and my invoice beats yours.$484.30!
October 27, 200421 yr #234 I have got my BA XR8 booked in this Friday..been quoted $271.00 less the cost of the oil..which I am gonna supply. Plus I have a K&N air filter, so I should save some money there as well. I actually thought that wasn't too bad a price all things considered. They did say that there was a recall on the car and it would need to be there a bit longer than usual. I asked what it was, but they said the Techs would explain it all to me when I take her in....that will be interesting. As far as issues go, I don't really have any. I seem to have one of the good XRs that must have been built on a Monday or something!! No pronouced diff clunk, no oil usage, no funny noises.... Anyway, I am really keen to find out what the recall issue(s) are...Anyone know what they might be?
October 27, 200421 yr #235 OK guys, I too have been using Jarvis Ford servicing. There must be big differences between the various locations, because I bought my car from Hillcrest and the guys there have been excellent with firstly the purchase(and yes I went to MT and they couldn't match the Jarvis price or imo their customer service), as well as the servicing so far. Fixed my issues first up at the first service and when I brought my car. Can't speak highly of them enough. Like I said I can't talk for the Norwood dealership, but my experience with Hillcrest has been very good.I have got my BA XR8 booked in this Friday for the 15000K service..been quoted $271.00 less the cost of the oil..which I am gonna supply. Plus I have a K&N air filter, so I should save some money there as well. I actually thought that wasn't too bad a price all things considered. They did say that there was a recall on the car and it would need to be there a bit longer than usual. I asked what it was, but as the booking service was centralised they just said that the Techs would explain it all to me when I take her in....that will be interesting. As far as issues with the car go, I don't really have any. I seem to have one of the good XRs that must have been built on a Monday or something!! I asked them to do the wheel alignment and wheel rotation, that alone was $184.00I have to also say that, I've just got back from a little "squirt" around the hills back of "The Oaks" and my precioussss is running like a dream. She just wants to keep revving out in 3rd .... oh yeh! <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yup the 3rd gear is fantastic.

June 14, 200521 yr #238 I got my MkII T back from 15K service, following are a few items requested to be looked at and their status, the car is stock.1. Steering Wheel Clunking when driving one wheel over small humps (driveway) - not fixed, it was originally looked at 3K service but wasn't fixed then2. Rear Seat rattle - not fixed3. Front Carpet Mats buckled - not replaced4. Park Brake noise while driving - fixed - now very bad rear brake noise when braking - whattha !5. Gears jerking between 1st & 2nd on acceleration and braking - not even looked at - this is getting very annoying along with the noise when braking. 6. Service Invoice $ 398 To summarise, not a Happy Jan. when I spend $ 50k for a car I expect it to be in a much better condition at 15k on top I expect to get the issues fixed up when reported at the service centre.can someone help me recommend some place near South Sydney (Alexandria) where I could get better service than what I've been getting.
June 14, 200521 yr #240 I work in the Alexandria, South Sydney area, so I prefer somewhere closer to it.
