I dont think u can compare an XY to a BF. Id give him what any other BF is worth with decals. If I had enless amounts of cash id pay whatever was asked to have a genuine HO cause I know that I want what most others dont have!!!

They are a limited edition, they will be worth that one day but I think it needs a bit more time to be really worth that amount of $$$$

Russ

No they won't, there a useless cop out.

The Cobras might hold theres but if you pay any more for a GT40 then a normal GTP your a knob.

LOL at trying to charge any extra 50k for a little badge and some gold stripes.

The guy selling is a tool and anyone who buys it is even more of a tool.

The collector car market has been an inflating bubble. A GTHO is not worth $500000 whichever way you look at it.

Nah there worth a little more then that now, I think the records at 750k or maybe it might be a mill. But that will never happen again, not for a Ford anyway. As far as new cars go I think the closest you will get to a new car appreciating is the last CV8Z

You Sir are an idiot. A base model xy in resonable/good condition will pull 10k+ let alone a GTHO Phase III that have a proven track record.

Something is only worth what it gets sold for.

The baby boomers are the ones driving the classic car market and speculators are trying to cash in on the hype hoping that the limited sticker cars from FPV will be worth similar money.

I do not see my kids in 30 years time trying to buy a GT-E (which is rarer than a Cobra or GT40th) as a nostalgic collector.

Also saying a GTHO P3 is not worth $500k is incorrect as many people have paid that sort of money for one. Yes it is a 40yo crappy car, but it is WORTH the money as a Picasso painting is worth $50+mill and is only some old ugly painting from a dead dude.

In two years of fortnightly 'runs around the block' its only done 93kms. Either he is lying about how often its run, or he does 2kms per fortnight which wouldn't heat up anything in the engine bay. Maybe he idles it up to temp first, which means being the v8 it would probably have scored bores.

Limited they are, low kms this is, but not worth 110k to anyone.

No Australian car made after 1990 will be a collectors item and will not increase in value like we have seen over recent years, and have also seen the complete collapse of over recent months. Muscle cars have dropped dramatically in prices, we have seen the peak, and it won't come back anywhere close to buying a GTHO for 750+k

EB GT and EL GT have all dropped in price, not long ago people wanted 60k for EL GTs, now they are cheap as chips, the T series are cheap as chips. A Cobra of a GT 40th should sell for less than new, its not special at all, rather they are run out models to get rid of stock. In affect you are buying the last of the crap before the new comes in.

Tell him he's dreaming!
