They are a limited edition, they will be worth that one day but I think it needs a bit more time to be really worth that amount of $$$$

Looks a bit suss how all the images of the car have two carsales watermarks all over it.

Seems like they were gathered from other peoples car photos then submitted, and they got watermarks over them for a second time

no he is deaming, would be prob worth it in 20 years maybe.

I doubt even current models will be worth as much as old 70's muscle cars are now. I thought the mulsce cars are worth what they are due to the rarity and image they have. The muscle cars people get good money for now are cars which were actually raced at Bathurst etc rather than the current racecars now adays. The only thing current v8 racecars share with the showroom model is the 'badge'. Its also people who loved these cars when they wre young and now may be lucky enough to afford these cars now.

Back in the day there mainly was only Ford or Expensive Daewoo for the masses, now there is all jap and euro cars for kids to get excisted about.

I think the only thing which may add value to the latest models is the possible end of the aussie made engines.

hhhhmmmm sounds around about right to me... maybe a little high for the age - wait a few more years and yep would be on the money I would say...

Just like the RSpecs - by the time all us who leased them have dumped them to little p platers and they write thalf them off, then there is only a 100 or so left, and low KM;s - id be guessing they will be worth a bit too!

:spit:

badge or no badge - its still listed as a true limited edition car - so yeah....

just my thoughts!

Limited or not, there is no way it is worth that much TODAY!!! I reckon he's about 20 years ahead of his time (if he's lucky).

Other than the fact it is a 'commemorative' model is there anything special about it? That's a legit question, I'm not too familiar with that model.

For example, and maybe not the best example... the W427 had something special about it. It had an engine that was not offered on any other model at the time. I'm assuming this BF doesn't lay the same claim to fame?

It is not worth it now or in 20 years time.

There is nothing special aside from a limited edition badge of 200 made. Just like the Cobra they are sticker specials.

If you read Unique Cars, you see a heap going for the $60k mark along side the dreamers wanting $90+. The expensive ones are there month in month out as they will not sell.

People know how much they were new and would/could have bought one then. The speculators are the ones trying to make a profit on them, but have failed as there was not enough demand to maintain the price.

The W427 was menat to be a limited edition of 427 cars, but they stopped production at less than 200 as nobody wanted them. Anyone who buys a new car to make money on is a fool.

I think it was a once off where Aussie muscle cars were an investment. It came about from the kids dreaming about those cars an 20/30yrs later we hit the 'cashed up tradie / Gen Y' era we have right now.

I sure as hell would not be looking at a new limited edition model for an investment... if we still have oil and fuel in 20yrs I may eat my words, but I doubt it... rant over

The guy selling is a tool and anyone who buys it is even more of a tool.

The collector car market has been an inflating bubble. A GTHO is not worth $500000 whichever way you look at it.
