September 17, 200917 yr #61 I wasn't referring to Top Gear magazine, which is pretty much the UK mag with a few Aussie bits mixed in.
September 23, 200917 yr #63 Everyone knows that models sold to the public can get nowhere near the times that Holdens press cars can. Its not hard to figure out they make hot ones for the press, it was obvious when Motor put them on the dyno and the Holdens made near as much grunt as the HSV's.as do ford - those awsome 80-120 times floting about for the xr6t are suspect. There has been a few instances where people have got hold of ex media cars and have been told not to update the ecu as they will loose the special tune. all manufacturers do it - (remember when some one put a boost guage on a media wrx many years ago?)but unless we want to pay heaps more for independant testing - wadya gunna do.
September 25, 200917 yr #64 All Ford cars in Motors test dynoed around the same as what you would expect. Holdens cars were way out of wack.
September 25, 200917 yr #65 Author (remember when some one put a boost guage on a media wrx many years ago?)nope, care to share??
