August 22, 200917 yr #1 Have been thinking over the last few days ... Wouldn't mind spending about $2000 dunno whether to spend it on power or looks ...Its a 6 sp manual so if I was to make it run abit more grunt clutch would need replacing another $2000 so I dunnoLooks on the other hand... it already has 20s xr8 bonnet and its debadged ... looks pretty nice I think but I could buy a fpv front gt or typhoon maybe a DJR spoiler and dump it on its arse DUNNO what do you guys think...Ben
August 22, 200917 yr #2 Definitely power mate.Get a tune & a MW Option 3 clutch... You can then get injectors, pump & cooler later down the track along with a retune & you should make pretty healthy power combined with your 3.5" exhaust
August 22, 200917 yr #3 power, you have those heavy 20s, do you want to spend more just to be beaten by a stock T?
August 22, 200917 yr #4 12 months ago I would of said power and still soughta feel that way now but!!!Once you start spending money on performance mods it never ends as you have to upgrade everything. I like keeping the looks of my car simple but neat but love having a bit of power in reserve for the odd 1/4 runs. Just have a look around on here and you will see how many of us have kept going 1 more step then 1 more step and then bang. You find the limit eventually and as the wife says your always spending money on your bloody car. If your planning on having a few more grand to spend on the car in the next 12 months then go the mod path first otherwise stick to looks as they dont cost as much to maintain.
August 22, 200917 yr #6 Author I was worried that the results would look like this :( This might get expensive MW opt 3 clutch is like $1500 ozz so probably like $1800 nz and tune will be like $1000 FFS
