Higher boost = leaner AFR's and therefore leaves the car more prone to pinging

That to but would have thought the lowest boost tune would have plenty of headroom!

single 3.5" will outflow the 2 x 2.5", even though the cross sectional area is almost equivalent

reason being the circumfrence of the single 3.5" is

(3.1415 x 3.5 x 25.4)= 279mm

and the circumfrence of the dual 2.5" is

2 x (3.1415 x 2.5 x 25.4) = 398mm

therefore there is 40% more surface area in the dual system, which will create more drag....

as far as what effects it has on power figures, who knows.... but it will flow more freely

Was yours mild steel?

yeah sorry 2010 fg in mild steel extra $550 for stainless, I herd that stainless is prone to spliting from extream temp changes ( hitting water on road)

Haven't had a problem with my single 3.5in on the BA and I live in flood territory so I wouldn't worry about it.

Maybe whoever told you that has the mild steel in stock only!
