Hi Guys,

I am assuming Lightning Strike is the best colour for not showing up the dirt.

How bout some of the other colours such as Seduce, Nitro and Ego?

Also, do you beleive a colour like Nitro will look dated after a while?

Andrew

I've always found a white car to show less dirt than a darker car.

I had a white EL XR8 that showwed the least amount of all the cars I've owned.

Having said that my current car isn't too bad.

I think Nitro is great. dont fret about this getting dated notion. Go with what you like and dont doubt your decision. Nitro is a great color, just like Blueprint was. Blueprint should always be in the Ford lineup.

Lightning strike is good for us lazy people, after many layers of dirt it just looks like mercury LOL. not sure about those other colours you mentioned but definitely stay away from black and any other dark colour.

LOL... have to agree, I could let my Mercury T go unwashed for a year and it would still look clean!!!

Does come up nice after a good wash and polish though

White will show up the least dirt; on the other hand, it will make you look like a sales rep. Which is fine if you're a sales rep.

I have to dissagree, after having white, lightning strike, black, grey, blue and red cars, I'd have to say White and silver is the worst.

Sure they disguise dust, where black and dark colours show dust, but tar, bug and darker marks show up like dogs balls on white and silver. It takes so much longer to wash the lighter colours. I'd never have a white or silver car again.

The best colour I've had is gun metal grey. Light enough to hide dust, dark enough to hide the darker marks. The car always looked clean.

I love my ute in nitro. Its almost like having multi-toned paint. The colour is forever changing depending on the lighting. A day or too after washing it though and the shine is masked by dust.

Silver is great at hiding dirt but also swirl marks and scratches.
