April 26, 201214 yr #662 +1 for Mt Staurtshould be picking up my car today with a nice firm arse end. Next month's pay might be new tyres, I'll see how it handles first but it might be time for KU36 all round and become a dry weather only car.
April 27, 201214 yr #663 Is this the same Mt Stuart near Kelso? I only see a straight road near it. Are there meant to be twisties?
April 27, 201214 yr #664 the twisties lead to the top.you start on the other side of the hill from kelso, in the suburb of stuart, turn off is from the flinders hwy, just after all the houses disappear
April 27, 201214 yr #666 yep the road is very twisty and ends at the top at the towers. Also go out past the frosty mango on the way to Ingham to turn left onto the Pulma rd, never had a chance to travel it but have been told it is very good with the road going up into the rainforest and clouds on the right days.
April 27, 201214 yr #667 paluma run is a good one if you get timeSo bloody glad I got the rear end sorted, it's a different (and quieter) car now.
April 27, 201214 yr #668 fellas - can see the road up to Mt Stuart State Park now off Flinders Highway. And I can also see the Paluma Rd now as well. Both look pretty good - if I have time I may take a look at the Paluma Rd 270k 6 1/2 hours round trip that one
May 12, 201214 yr #669 Paluma is a great little blind twisty rad through the mountains. Id like to meet up for a cruise boys around townsville any day:)
