That's a pretty broad question mate...

Do you have a T or are you looking at buying one?

Here is the short answer - Better? BF MKII is the best of the BA/BF Series.

Automatic gearbox of choice is definitely the ZF 6 speed auto in the BF's, and as far as manuals go, go for the 6 speed.

Hope that helps,

Dan

Having driven both BA and BF in auto there is no question the ZF just bloody rocks.

The 4 speed auto in the BA is still good but not even close to the ZF in terms of sheer fun.

I didnt consider manuals as I do a bit of city driving and couldnt be bothered chasing a gearstick

Manuals are very clunky in Falcons, so Auto's the way to go. I see the Falcon as an affordable comfortable sporty car - not sporty enough to justify manual transmission.

I prefer the 6psd auto. was looking at gettin a manual when I first got the car. but after I drove the auto. it was absolutly awsome!! best bet is to go try each tranmission and make your own decision.

manual for sure either a BAII for 6speed or both BFI BFII.. autos are for girls, old ppl, lazy buggers and people chasing easy times down the 1/4.. lol :Sug1::yikes:

Yeah I have the T56 6 speed manual, great gearbox in terms of manual, but when I upgrade to an FG F6 ute in a year or so, im going to go for the 6 Auto. I can not pull my Tornado off the lights fast at the moment, I try practicing launches but under pressure I always spin too much,

no one with a 6 speed auto complains,

But racing around in a 6 speed manual does feel pretty awesome!
