about the house, if you are separated, speak to your Lawyer, because at best you will get half of it, and she is deriving an income

from your asset whilst you still pay for it. Check it out IMO

At least get a legal agreement in place, unless you trust her implicitly

Keep in mind you wont be allowed to "socialise" with foreign women on holidays which would be a PITA for a single bloke.

^ LIKE F^#K!!!

I think it depends on the company you end up working for, spose its just the luck of the draw, ive tried to do some research into good and bad companies but there doesnt seem to be much info out there, that why I opened this thread...

I trust her, I think its me she doesnt trust.....(long story).......

But I would never try and do someone over on something like a house, especially my ex

Oh and considering she put the initial $75k deposit down I think I should be counting my lucky stars if she agrees to keep it with me...

sounds great the money is not that bad...but to work on a ship and drink and party when not working would be great...any rules about how much interaction with female guest.....If I was young and not married not a bad job for a year or so....

My point exactly, if you don't know the boundaries and subsequent repurcussions, where to then ?. As ourO6T said, your leaving your self wide open.

You say she doesn't trust you, cover your arse man, don't be naieve. Who says she's going to stay in this financial arrangement? Her.

Spend a few hundred and get an expert opinion. It could cost you a sh*tload more.

Reality is, if they don't trust you, you are infact not a friend but a foe

I havent worked on a large cruise ship but have worked on smaller, "luxury" boats doing various things. Trip or 3 to WA's far north and out as far as the Montebello islands, but of course that's smaller groups (and had bosses who werent interested in their staff fornicating with passengers). Spent some time on a dive charter (bit boring) and bit of commercial fishing.

Somewhere along the way I gave up interest on finishing my master class 5

I think you are a wise man Buf....

I have a meeting with a Industrial Relations lawyer on Tuesday about my work trying to screw me out of my holiday and time in lieu, maybe I should ask them if they know anything about this matter too??

Gee man, it all happens at once ha?

First I break up with my girlfriend, then she kicks me out of the house, I loose my job, my job screws me for my entitlements, I have to sell my T and now I have to get a job overseas or on a boat......ahhhh

EDIT: Dont suppose anyone knows anything about industrial relations laws do they while we are on the topic???

Maybe I should open a new thread??
