bass Member 2 Member For: 20y 7m 1d Posted 27/06/09 11:12 AM Posted 27/06/09 11:12 AM these transmissions will handle the power but it is important that the transmission have the transmission program altered to accommidate the extra power as the existing program adjust pressure according to load and throttle to suit the factory power range .Alter the power and the transsmission will not responded to the extra modified performance hence startes to slip and eventualy fails. As these are electronicly controlled the program has to be altered accordingly.Have seen this all to often and the tranmission gets the blame but it is the program that causes this. There are piggy back e.c.u.s that can be puchased ,have encounted them before but could not say where purchased try google to find

Make sure you get a transmission cooler too, this goes a long way to saving the box.You are north of sydney, so maybe track down Dominello Transmissions, they have a very good rep with the BTR

Mine did the same 3 times because of a dodgy tune from a tuner in sydney! Get the tune right, and get some extra clutch packs thrown into the C1 (3rd to 4th), get a cooler and drive it sensibly and it will be good for 300-340rwkw. Check out my sig for details on tuner and box builder.cheersSteve
