  1. I think it is the check valve in the pump gunna pull it out this weekend.
  2. ummm that's a good point, shoulda listed them, FG F6 bottom end, custom 98 cal edit, intank walbro, IC, nizpro plenum, nizpro valve spings, no new mods I can link it to since it started acting up,
  3. Hey all, just wondering if anyone else has come across the same prob as me, when starting the engine appears to wind over for quite some time before it fires. this only happens after it hasent been driven for a while like 8hrs or so. it seems like a fuel prob me, like the line is not primed or something. as always any words of wisdom appriciated. cheers
  4. fair point, although in my case it wasnt that easy I had a dirty great big hole in my block so I only need a new bottom end.
  5. hey guys, I myself have done a fg f6 bottom end conversion into my ba using a shorty from ford. its quite simple if you have ever built a engine this should be a piece of piss. every thing you use is for ba/bf the only things that really require change /mod is the main cap girdle which is noticable in differance upon inspection. using the ba/bf sump you plug the FG dipstick location in new block and punch out rivet in the BA/BF location. modify the engine mount bracket mildly which just requires a lil bit surgery (cutting) you can see where while attempting to fit. the rest is a sinch remember to buy/ use all ba/bf parts and you will have no probs fyi the FG F6 bottom end is stronger and cheaper from ford. the reason I was told by ford is that they trying to make a selling point by saying buying a new car replacement parts are cheaper. just another ford con if you ask me but meh I got what I wanted.
  6. Ok so there could advantaged as the atomic 1 is thicker but that's as far as visual differences go
  7. To be honest I don't know and don't know there could be a pic on there web. I will check it out
  8. Yes the sump fits but as well as above mods the dip stick hole ay the front is plugged just punch it out. Yes fg f6 short comes with girdle
  9. Also a hole needs to be added for the dipstick to go through it again u can see this when u compare them
  10. The sump in the Ba has no clearance for the baffle at no 6 cylinder so there is none there. As for the fg this isn't an issue so all cylinders have a baffle. I'm in the process of changing Ba to fg f6 bottom end hence how I know all u have to do is cut away the baffle part with tin snip its clear when you compare them what needs to be done . Also a point to make out here is nearly all fg parts are cheaper because ford want us to buy new cars instead of repairing old ones. I found this out when the price I received for a bf typhoon short motor was 300 dollers dearer and the fg is better any way. Hope this clears things up.
  11. hi mate howed you go with this ive been having similar probs thermos dont work cruise dont work right hand blinker constaintly on wipers intermitant doesnt work then they all start working sometimes. they all fail and work at the same times. heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp
  12. hi mate I have question for u a little off topic but have u had and strange probs after your conversion. the reason I asked this is my r/h blinker stays on my thermos dont work at all and the wippers wig out on intermitant. as for your question I just hooked the revese lockout up to the brake switch above tthe peddle. I can tell u it costs $990 from ford for the manual harness. cheers cameron
  13. hey all, been searching the forum and yet to find any info on putting these motors (ecu wiring loom etc) in to a different vehicle maybe a hilux ? if any one knows if it could be done or has done it id like to get some info. cheers cameron
  14. muzz, another forum member did this conversion and said that it had 2 be a mk11 to get cruise to work. I dunno just thought that's what I need. anyways I'll try and take the pic and send it on soon. thanks mate
  15. hi all, I have just done a auto to manual conversion and I need a generous forum member to help me out a bit. I after the processor code of the side of someones ba mk11 6speed it should be a 6 digit code on the sticker on the side of the pcm(in the engine bay) it usually starts with the letter "A" and consists of 3 letters and 3 numbers.... I will be forever in your debt. cheers cameron p.s it has to be BA MK11 6 SPEED from factoy
  16. hi guys so ive change my ba to 6sp from auto and theres a few things not working like cruise control and the thermo fans I herd this would happen..what I wanna know is if I have a manual tune in my flash box and go to ford and get them to fix the probs when I load my tunes in will the probs come back?
  17. hey bender, could very well be me im cameron work at airport luv ya murray
  18. you want to use I obd interface called elm327 can be brought of ebay quite cheaply approx $40.00 and comes with software to read it I use it with no trouble at all. it supports serial or usb conection and works well with centrafuse
  19. hi all, real quick 1 does anyone know if there is a differance between that standard xr6 ecu and say 1 out of a typhoon or tornado hardware wise or is it just a matter of the differant tune loaded. cheers cameron
  20. hi mal, im installing a t56 in a ba on the weekend and 1 thing has me confused I cant find any info on what wiring changes have to be made. could u please help me on this or give me a direction on where to head. thanks heaps cameron
  21. hi all, just wondering if anyone knows what wiring changes are required to accept a t56 from a 4spd auto. cheers
  22. so how much power can the c10 handle and what is involved with this conversion has it been manualised
  23. ok so obviously the 3spd is only good for street not highway... correct? and I'll be searching for around 400 oneday so I dont wanna be rebuilding it all the time
  24. so it would appear that I have no 3rd or 4th in my 03 ba 4spd auto was wondering what my options are and what ppl are doing it seems a little silly to me to keep rebuilding these boxes im running bout 300rwkw and gunna be searching for more down the track... however I want it streetable not much for drags. would be iterested in ppl opinions.. cheers cameron
