The screen is not faulty. If you cannot turn it back on by pushing and holding it for a few seconds then sounds like something in the programming has gone astray.

I know you said you tried it, but have the car turned on and running, then press in the volume button for as long as it needs to make the beep and turn back on.If that fails, it could be an electrical fault I guess, which has enabled that mode and not allowing you to get out of it?

Even the fraud service centre tried the 5second rule with no luck, just a freak thing I guess.
