Push the volume knob (power) on for 5 seconds and it will beep and fix the problem.

If the reset function dont work as above...

Might be a dead LCD back light or converter board...

If it comes on for 5 seconds when you change volume etc and the screen seems normal for that time, this is normal operation if the screen has been turned off manually. The screen is not faulty. If you cannot turn it back on by pushing and holding it for a few seconds then sounds like something in the programming has gone astray.

yeah definitely sounds like its in that mode. I know you said you tried it, but have the car turned on and running, then press in the volume button for as long as it needs to make the beep and turn back on.

If that fails, it could be an electrical fault I guess, which has enabled that mode and not allowing you to get out of it?

Thx Guys, you would not believe it, I have tried the reset 2 or 3 times with no luck, this time I held the on/off button in for over a minute and guess what, I got a beep and all is good now, book said farken 5seconds, 5seconds my :buttrock: . Even the fraud service centre tried the 5second rule with no luck, just a freak thing I guess.

Handy info. This may be a fault recovery mode or something. If it is Ford should have known about it. Glad you got it going.
