just to make it clear to everyone, my ute is a naturally aspirated xr6 so there is no turbo on it yet which means im not going out and wasting my money on doing the whole kit because at present it is not a turbo...

Adam, you made the claim therefore the onus is on you to provide something to back that claim up. Otherwise your claim has no basis. I think most people would agree with that. And all the more so when what is being said puts down some one else's product in a public forum.

So once again Adam, can you provide any evidence of your statement which refers to Snorts product as not being "real". That is what is in question and nothing else.

Hey Leigh what is it exactly that you are trying to say?

Since you asked, there's plenty happening with my build. Yesterday, the block, crank, head, pistons, rods etc all went down to the shop who's doing the build and tuning so in the next few weeks we should see the motor beginning to come together. In the meantime, I'm continuing to organise the 4L65e conversion. I'm want to get the trans in the car before the motor so we can iron out any issues. I'm looking at using the Baumann Electronic Controls Shiftware TCS Controller for the trans. As far as I know, this trans has never been put into a BA before so there's quite a bit of mucking around to get this to happen including getting a bellhousing made. The "experts" are telling it's doable so I'm confident this will happen.

if your thinking about sticking with the t2 flange style like on the t28's possibly upgrade to a pair of gt2871 56t's. same base flange and dump flange so will be less muckin around to get changed over and havin a .86ex housing and internal gates will save alot of pipework and dramas aswell as stop it choking top end with good size housings. other than that set of 3037's would be mental.

That could simply be because of better marketing done by one company over another, but everyone knows about ETM's quality and workmanship anyway so what was the problem again?

it has been done before. I know a bloke that loves playing with his car and recently put a twin turbo in the a ba xr6t though u never see him out on the road cause he always has something new to do to it. last time I saw the car it was a metallic orange but now I hear that its lime green. unsure in which turbo he used but he put in on the dyno and got 600kw at about 800hp. if u need a hand on the conversion let us know and ill ask him to give u a ring if hes interested in helping that is. though im sure he will
