my tuner at the moment is building a 1000hp monster & is using a nitto plenum. I cant say any more on the project apart from big turbos = lag. nitto plenum = max flow but biggest lag. more revs the better. make it rev & it wont be an issue. simple.

I have a plazmaman plenum & its worked a treat but only at 400rwkw so I cant speak about it on a high hp sense but I'll be using it til the dier end which I will be pushing as soon as I can. have seen factory manifolds hit 540 + rwkw so anything has to be an approvement on that. ask dus12 (kent).

he's on his 3rd one. different manufacturers.

im not going to post what I got told, but ive made my decision

Ive run 650rwhp out of the Process West plenum on mine and will be running around 800hp very soon. I dont expect to be changing the plenum so I have no doubt it will manage the power without problems. This was on a T51R running about 25-27 PSI. The rev limit of the engine (about 6200rpm) was the limiting factor. This should be fixed shortly as well :pooh:

YEAH I have this plennum! Is the crank the next weakest link? If so how much extra revs would you get out of a billet crank? Don't mean to be nosey mate just intetrested.

Hey Alf,

Im not sure where the next weakest link will be. At the moment I am using the standard crank, which has been tidied up a bit. Cams and head work is what will drive the revs up and then we will see what happens form the crnk point of view. I understand billet cranks are pretty expensive - I think Brian said his was worth around $5K, so we will see what happens. I think Brians is revving out to about 7200-7500rpm. I am hoping to have a little higher rev than that to get some really strong top-end at the track.

Hey Phil,

Sounds pretty serious !! When are you aiming to get out for a run at WSID? ... Should be interesting!!

You got a cage in it yet?

Still no cage yet John - it is planned for once the engine goes back in the car with all the new bits and pieces. You never know, we may get a run in with the new setup before the cage - just to see how the combo goes. :tonguepoke:

It will be a big year for the car this year - it has been too long without any racing.

Sorry about the off topic posts Tocchi

RDP were running 800RWHP through the process west plenum.

Actually 1007 (!) rear wheel horsepower for the R.D.P Ute, which make's it the highest power figure recorded with any Plenum for these car's.

It would've been good to see some Dyno sheet's on this thing, but from what I understand the business has since changed hand's, so I'm not sure where that Ute is at the moment.

You are right, I completely forgot about that. I believe they still have the ute, but at the moment there concentrating on there FG I think.
