TURBOXR I miss her... Donating Members 703 Member For: 20y 9m Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 12/12/08 04:56 AM Share Posted 12/12/08 04:56 AM Im confused.... So is the kit you are now supplying Hi/Lo? I assumed that Hi/Lo lights on a BA falcon mean this: they are a two element bulb. One element is on when the headlights are on, when you flick to high beam the second element in the globe lights up, causing the outboard (BA-BF) headlights to be brighter. So these HID Hi/Lo ones you had, the small halogen bulb that you had to remove was the normal headlight, then when you flick high beam on the bright HID lights up. Is this correct or was the small halogen you removed just a parker? If so, does this mean that if i put in the HID lights and turn them on, i just always have high beam on blinding people? Does the HID bulb change at all when i turn the High Beams on? I realise that in a previous post you said high beam would almost be redundant, is this because the HID's are so bright or because the high beam is now working with only one set of bulbs? As in the Inboard lights (BA-BF) on their own, without the assistance of the outboard (BA-BF) Hi/lo's? Posted 12/12/08 05:12 AM Share Posted 12/12/08 05:12 AM (edited) Hi/lo kit is one light only, plus the parker. Bi-xennon have a motor which extends the bulb, thus changing the height of the emmitted light. Not a true syustem in the sense. As in it goes brighter when Hi Beam is turned on? Pat will be supplying just the lo kit without the parker Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/51845-group-buy-hid-kits/page/15/#findComment-785311 Share on other sites

So the outboard lights will remain the same. Does this change the effectiveness of the High beams at all? Im keen for this, but not if the HID outboards (BA-BF) are so bright that its effecting other road users. Id be after 4300K. Ill get the foggies as well. Pat... had anybody flashing you yet? It would be good the replace the high beam too now just for aesthetics. Well that me done for a month or so, no more internet until i find a way to get broadband at my new house (tassie sucks for internet), hope all goes well the world of the xr6 turbo while im gone, See ya soon lads Reuben Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/51845-group-buy-hid-kits/page/15/#findComment-785670 Share on other sites

I would expect the same from Pat's HID's as they look the same as the ones I have had for 2 years.
