November 10, 200817 yr #1 When the car steps out due to burnout at the drags or a firm push on the pedal at speed, the car always steps out to the right. The question is why?Is this the same for everyone?F6 auto, high 300s of power.
November 10, 200817 yr #2 Depends on the grip and weight in the car, plus on the road there is always a grade (but that would usually make it go left)If the right hand side tyre loses grip first, that's where its gonna go - mine goes either way, but probably more to the left...
November 10, 200817 yr #5 Mine usually goes left, then right, then left, then right & so on until I hit 4th
November 10, 200817 yr #6 Its all to do with the direction the engine spins the tailshaft, it tries to twist the diff giving more traction to one side and less to the other so it steers the car in the direction of the tyre with more grip, kind of like a diver with only 1 flipper lol. Drag racers put lots of time and effort into preventing this from happening to make the car run straight.
November 10, 200817 yr #7 Author So what's the answer?'Better' diff/lsd?"Cos it's annoying at the drags when the car is sideways on the burnout
November 10, 200817 yr #8 mine always ggoes left when it starts spinning but a little opposite lock straightens her up real quick
November 10, 200817 yr #9 So what's the answer?'Better' diff/lsd?"Cos it's annoying at the drags when the car is sideways on the burnout pre loading the suspension the opposite way, not something you can do in a stock car
