SCFM = Standard cubic feet per minute air flow @ 20.3” H20 backpressure

The SCFM rating of respective mufflers of the same and quality brand are rated as this as we know the mufflers are more restrictive than pipes in the exhaust. Specs quoted from quality dynomax ultraflow mufflers.

3.5 inch 2200+cfm

2.5 inch 1000cfm x 2

Although the difference being small would negate to not much of a difference but the sh*tness of the Y section in the common twin systems as you said would be more of a limiting factor. Exhaust cross section is only one area to look at.

I have an X-force twin 2.5 system, and the sh*tness level of the Y pipe was at the overflowing level of crap measurement.

The pipes look good on the outside, but where the air is flowing was rubbish.

Saying that, we welded the joins up and ground it all up nicely, and it should be heaps better.

Would be interesting to measure the flow pre de-sh*tting the pipe and after

Spoke to Dave on the phone today regarding my top end power curve in comparison to Grizzlys'.

Dave has investigated stating the difference is'nt due to my Nizpro flowed Exhaust Turbo housing or twin 2.5" X-Force system. Apparently my stronger top end is all to do with the tune! :spoton:

And a big thanks to Dave from CPV Tuning for all his advice and time spent on the tuning. Couldn't be happier with the results............well maybe if I can net a low 11 or even a 10.9 at the strip.!!!

I have just about all the same mods but I have the old p/w kit with the new intake and my power is about the same at 18 psi down to 17 its good to see with just about the same mods and different tuners we made the same power

Yes Dave (blueboost) tuned mine as well ... Nizpro Stage II+ on BF F6 Typhoon ZF auto

He has already been Bryce. First meeting for Palmyra in 6 months since the track was repaired from the floods. I'll let him state his times if he wishes (or you could just check cm), but when he goes back in 3 weeks time they should be much quicker (between the tnt last Friday night and the race meet Saturday night people has cut 0.5s off their times as the track got some rubber down).
