Ok - where to start;

For those that know me I have been working on the car for the last year with one goal in mind - to build a car that will run 9's and depending on how long it takes to get there - hopefully bring the quickest XR6T record to NSW.

To do this I enlisted the help of my good friends and drag racing experts at Tony Rigoli Performance (TRP). These guys are just awesome, whether it be their heritage with Tony and his Fiat in the early days and now their dominance of the WRX scene and more recent dominance of the VL turbo scene.

This is the first (and likely only) XR6T they have worked on so it has been a process to work through the build to date. The plan was not to cut any corners, and to try and innovate where possible to try and get the best out of the car for th single purpose of 1/4 mile times.

Brief list of mods;

Bottom end (TRP spec rods and pistons)

Stock Head

Stock cams

Process West plenum

ETM Manifold (50ml external gate)

Garret T51 turbo

HDI intercooler

Custom surge tank and fuel setup (TRP & SpeedFab)

3-speed TRP spec C9 box with transbrake

Twin 2 1/2 exhaust

Eboost 2

Power output when we ran last night was about 450rwkw on 26psi with C16 fuel. The strip setup was frontrunners and 26x8.5" MT slicks (thanks George - BLUUOA). Car was full weight (including towbar :biggrin:) and all other daily driver bits and pieces - like exhaust - with no cage. We launched on 8psi to ensure the standard rear end would hold up after the first pass we wound a little more boost in to launch - 10psi. Unfortunately this just fried the tyres on the next two runs for two consecutive 10.4's at similar mph. Rob Rigoli was driving as I havent got my open licence yet and like I said - these were some initial shakedown passes so I hope to be driving at some point in the future.

There is definitely more to come so stay tuned and its a pain we dont have a heathcote raceway up here, so there will be a few extra changes coming to help with that. I will get some pics up when I can, and TRP will probably throw the videos up on their website, so I will add a link in when I can.

A big thanks to Dom, Rob, Sam, Tony and Prawn @ TRP, Leigh @ ETM, Backyarder and Anthony @ SpeedFab, Jimmy @ BOOSTN racing and last but definitely not least Jeffro DBOSS.

Timeslip attached. Enjoy <_<
