quick observation.

while a lot of publicity has been made of corolla topping the monthly sales charts of late we should all be aware that the RRP of the corolla starts at 21,000 while the Late model camira starts at 37,000. And theres no way corollas go as high as fetching what SS models do.

So most units - corolla.

Value of units sold - Late model camira by far!

Hopefully its the Falcon in a matter of months.

include the territory in with the falcon (given they are essentially the same car underneath) and how does ford do?

not sure, I think each issues of Wheels has the mthly figures, but yes the Falcon+Territory sales arent bad. We are at the end of the product cycle for the current models.

I mean we hear a lot about the falcon losing market share - a huge chunk of that has gone to the Territory so that's not a real loss after all. Its just better meeting the customer demand.

:ifiusethisimafag: The manufacturers don't receive any of the profit that dealers make, the dealer buys the car from the manufacturer at a set price, so as long as they are moving units, the manufacturer is happy!

I'd love to see how many TT and TTGs were sold, as I've only ever seen 3 other turbo's on the road. Anyone know where I'd get those figures?

Corolla cost's les to produce, not to mention Holden's Billion dollar spend, plus the marketing they flood the market with.

When was the last time you saw a Corolla advert, yet they still top the sales.

I agree with this line of thought. Corolla ads are out there, but Expensive Daewoo smashes the Late model camira advertising. If the comparison was units sold vs. marketing dollars spent then the corolla would pants the commodore.
