No matter which way you look at it, in 10 to 20 years, that thing will be worth a little more than AU $1mil at a Shannons auction!

The asking price here and now was 1Mill and sold for 950,000 in 10 to 20 years it'll be up round 10-20Mill.....

Now you are just being silly.

I am forecasting a decline in Aussie muscle car values in 20+ years. They are valuable now because blokes who have done well in life want the dream cars of their youth.......once these blokes cark it good luck getting the big bucks for old muscle. Of course they will rise a little due to inflation however in real terms I think their value is at its peak right now.

no I don't think so, I met Peter Champion about a year ago when he had an open day at HDT special vehicles (that he had just bought) and seriously didn't seem to be the singlet and shorts kinda bloke. Also the webpage mentions nothing about any monaro's other than Brocky's 69 bathurst race car.

Chooka lives in Cairns FNQ!!! He already owns "THE" factory HRT 427 Monaro 24hr race winning car that thrashed everyone that year so will be an awesome addition to his collection. Had all his collection on display @ last years Cairns Motor Show!!!

Has 20+ cars all up ... the last model Monaro's in every colour made as well as HSV GTS & GTO versions, and every model back to the orginal one in 1968! Has a T bucket drag car as well : )

Had a chat with him ... very down to earth bloke to talk to

Certainly one wicked collection now ... even if it is GMH :cleanhouse:

I think we will be laughing at these blokes who bought these so called "investments" in years to come.

Mate ... he has built up a very successful business & has more money than you've had breaths of fresh air!!!

No it was'nt given to him! :innocent:

He's a genuine enthusiast who just loves Monaros!

920K is just play money for him

920k is just play money for me also but if I was a Monaro enthusiast I would have paid full sticker price of 1mil instead of haggling the price down to 920k, the Sultan of Brunei would have paid full sticker price also. Monoro Man is a speculating enthusiast.

exchange "cv8z" with "VL calais" & "920k pos" with "ferrari" & that sounds like every second thread on calais turbo.com :stirthepot:

:roflmbo: Except you forgot to change 200k to $150

Did you laugh at the blokes that bought genuine XY GTHO Phase III's for 50k as investments a while back? Cause I sure as hell didn't! I Cried. But to contradict myself I do agree that this 427 will be worth f*ck all in years to come.

Like Ford fans paying 750K for a Falcon aint it....spose this one was atleast made this century....

Bugger off Expensive Daewoo driver

Don't try and defend it!

If I paid that for a car, I would want a free garage, attached to a 5 bedroom house to put it in.
