Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 21y 2m 15d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 13/03/08 10:12 PM Share Posted 13/03/08 10:12 PM A man has had his car impounded after an alleged high-speed street race in Sydney's southwest early today.Police doing speed checks saw an Audi TT coupe and a blue Ford Falcon FPV sedan allegedly racing on the M5 at Padstow at about 1.50am.The Audi was detected at speeds of more than 220 kmh, police said.The driver, a 30-year-old Greenacre man, was issued with a court attendance notice for the offences of street racing, driving in a speed dangerous and exceeding the speed limit by more than 45 km/h.His licence has been suspended and police confiscated the Audi, which was taken to a police holding yard where it will be impounded for three months.He is due to face Bankstown Local Court on April 9.Police were unable to get the registration of the Ford Falcon.Anyone with information about the Falcon that could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
