Hey Pat - what impact will the Budget's dam f%#@&* luxury car tax have on the G6ET's $$$. Any idea?

The RRP on the G6E Turbo is around 55k, and the LCT only applies to any amount over the 57k limit, so even with options it won't make much difference, and some dealers are quite willing to lower the price even further, so if you haggle a little you shouldn't even need to pay any LCT.

Dennis - I'm willing to sell a T to anyone from this forum, no matter where they are in Australia!

JohnnyG - it will make people whinge more, and may lose a couple of sales for manufacturers, but overall I don't think it will affect us too much

After sitting in an playing with an XR6, G6 and G6E, I'm left dissapointed.

I was really impressed with the looks and the new interiors, but I couldn't get comfprtable, mainly in the XR6.

I'm 6' 4" and the steering wheel position is fuscking rediculous to say the least. With the seat at it's lowest, right back, and the steering wheel right up, the tops of the instruments were obscured. For some reason it wasn't so bad in the G6E, but it was still low. I'm hoping there was something wrong with the XR6's wheel hieght adjustment because there appeared to be a big gap left at the top, but when it comes time for me to trade up, if they're all like this it'll be a deal breaker for me.

I understand they were trying to make the car feel more compact inside, but my first impression was that they've taken it too far and it felt too cramped.

Has anyone else noticed how soft the seats were on the XR's? Or maybe I sat in a dud.

I thought they felt harder!

Yeah, the cushioning is softer. I did around 150+ kays in a T on saturday night and had no problems though

Ordered mine today, xr6 T ute, Auto, Lux pak, Tech pak, Hayman Reese tow bar in EGO.

No idea when delivery is. Try to forget about it for a while and wait for the phone call.

My BA Mk2 XR6T has come to the end of its lease so just ordered a new FG XR6T, auto in vixen red with tech pak. Been told should arrive in July ??? - can't wait.

went for a drive today in a std XR6 - pretty impressed. 6 spd is certainly better than my old 4 spd clunker!
