Sometime yesterday my T was broken into whilst at work.. BSTD's broke through the passengers rear quarter window..

Got my Ipod and GPS, both hidden, and left with nice mess of glass all over the back seat area...

Beware, as I am not the only one to have been hit recently..

All they could have seen was the faint dirty circle mark left on the windscreen from the GPS cradle..

I should be thanking the little f*ckers that break into cars, they generate half my business in the ipod/NAV/phone/camera market!

**Everybody think very carefully about where you place items in your car**

and yes, the most common thing people say is 'they must have seen the little circle on the window' (wipe it off with something whenever possible, and dont leave power cables or remotes or anything lying around!)

sorry to hear that it happened mate, it's a bugger of a thing to clean up and get sorted out

bloody mongrels. sorry to hear about the bad news mate. that's one of the problems with stick on or dash mounted sat nav systems. everyone can see you've got one and even if you go to the trouble of taking it down and hiding it, the tell tale signs of ciggy power cable, mounting bracket or suction marks on your window are a neon sign to would-be thieves.

a carputer is still the best way to go I think. its 100% stealth, everything looks completely stock yet you've got every gismo under the sun right at your finger tips.

u will be finding glass for years an years now, sh*t goes everywhere. Sorry to hear bout that. My car got broken into, same thing I would say they were lookin for my GPS cos of the suction marks on the windscreen but I had it in my bag. first time I ever took it with me and soooo thankful I did. Only problem with GPS's they are a little big for a guy to stick in a his pocket, sometimes its good to be a female and carry round a bag

Arseholes.

Thankfully the GPS built into my new phone works pretty well, so I always take it with me.

A friend of the wife's got done doing Christmas shopping in December. She bought a heap of presents, took them to the car and put them in the boot. She had no GPS or anything visible in the car to be seen. She went back into the shops for about 20 mins, came back and found all of the presents were gone. The Police think she was followed, or the scum bags were just casing out the carpark. So it doesn't seem to matter what you do to hide your stuff, the turds have ways of picking their targets.

Wouldn't you just love to catch the turds in the act. You could see how good their heads are at breaking a car window :greyscare:

Stupid thing is, that a week after this happened I saw a new convertable Lambo parked in the same shopping centre car park, loeft with a handbag on the passenger seat. Just asking for trouble. The owner must have been a dope, 1: They parked a $500k+ car in a shopping centre car park, 2: They left a handbag on the seat in a convertable, 3: The Lambo was white.
