So, I'm planning a trip to the EU in may-ish next year, and want to visit the Nurburgring.

has anyone been there or driven it or even seen it? got any advice on what to do there? how to get there? etc etc?

one of my mates did it in 06 and wrote up a thread about it on Perth WRX. Really informative so I'll try and dig that up!

Definitely on my to do list. Saving up holidays so I can take a decent break from work for 3 or 4 months!

Motor Magazine did an article on it too. Stuffed if I can remember which issue it was though, but I think you need to book pretty early if you want to stay anywhere near the place...

Yeh it was very detailed.

I do remember him running into a few issues. Track closure, worldwide ban from hertz hire cars (worldwide ban for anyone caught using there hire cars on the 'ring).

Im sure he also found someone who must have felt sorry for him for a lap in a fairly seriously modded porka :D
