I don't know of anyone running a T04Z, but they are an awesome turbo, and I don't think the size would be much different really, and judging by what they do on RB and 2J motors, it should be boosting by 3000rpm, but there are so many variables ie tune, exhaust, plenum, cooler etc - all these things will vary how and when the turbo comes on

a t04z is a natural first choice in turbo upgrade with these engines, its rated at 700hp,100hp more than a gt35r so it will provide badass topend without sacrificing too much down low.

on a well designed exhaust manifold I believe you could have it boosting up at the same(or very close to) rpm as the standard gt35 does on the factory cast manifold but with all the benefits of an extra 100hp.

etm, do you know if the flange on the T04Z is the same as the 35/40? if it was, it might be something for people to look into, but I'm pretty sure these only come as an externally geted turbo - is this correct?

you will not get a t04z with a t3 flange(as used on the gt3582r fitted from the factory).

they come with a t4 flange which means its going to need a new manifold, you would really want a better flowing manifold than the cast log anyway at those power levels.

same as the wastegate, its going to be external, internal gates suck at the best of times and a t04z is no place for an internal gate.

Hi bloke,

What $$$ would I be looking at for you to build a well designed exhaust manifold to suit a TO4Z for my BF Typhoon?

Have you built any to this combination yet?

Cheers
