puffnstuff Member 287 Member For: 23y 11m 5d Posted 23/06/03 01:33 AM Posted 23/06/03 01:33 AM Who drive autos? Anyone with a sense of mechanical sympathy and a view to future engine mods, that's who. Who really wants to waste time swapping cogs when the 'brains trust' in the box can do it for you, and at peak shift points. Manual launches are just far to dodgy and fraught with danger.. ie broken bits down the road.Launch is easy, hold against the brake with 2,500 ~ 3.000 on the tach, easy off the brake and button it. My baby just hooks up and takes off. Call it a freak (or lucky owner) but most passengers make comments like, "bloody hell, she has some urge". Coming from a mechanical background, I appreciate the fact that the auto will stand up to most 'reasonable' engine mods with ease. Now where is that APS phone number?.. I need more power already..cheers to the group
