Hi all, I have a stage 1 Nizpro edit on my BF F6 and could not be happier with how it performs. My brief was for it all to appear standard so they have enlarged my injectors but not replaced the cat.

It makes 280 rwkw but unless I am reading the printout wrongly, it shows max boost of 14 psi. The 14 psi section of the boost curve lines up with about 210 rwkw on the power curve but where the power initially paeks at 280 the boost has settled back to about 12 psi.

So my question is, when you guys talk about power at a certain boost which part of the power and boost curves are you talking about. Regards, Sport.

you'll find that because your intake and exhaust is practically stock, the turbo has to work harder to produce those numbers, if you were to replace the car, a better cooler and some valve springs, you'll find the same power can be acheived at lower boost levels

I would say you're making 280rwkw at 14 psi, because that's your peak boost.

To give you a comparison, I'm running 313rwkw (all dyno's are different) on the same boost of 14psi.

your standard actuator cannot hold boost up in the rev range.. that's why the boost comes in at 14psi, and then drops to 12psi...

So, your making 280rwkw with 12psi boost..

Post up your dynograph so we can better explain it for you..

that's a bit extreme lol

my boost similar around 13-14 psi to make 268rwkw as evereything is stock apart from the injectors

Is that normal for the stock actuators to not be able to sustain boost above 12 PSI ?

With a wog cooler and 3.5" cat my generic 8 PSI tune is now boosting to about 13 PSI most of the way through the rev range and the 10 PSI tune sustained 15 or over (I'm not running it until I get a custom tune next week)

The peak boost is the right number to quote imo, this is the maximum boost reached (any amount under maximum is irrelevant imo). FPV claim 9psi for the typhoon despite boost trailing to 6ish psi in the top end stock. Ford claim 6psi for the xr6t despite boost trailing to 4-5psi in the top end. For reference sake my car has 200rwkw stock, 263rwkw on 8psi, 281rwkw on 10psi and 299rwkw on 14psi. A freeflow cat probably won't make much difference until 9+psi so the higher the boost level the greater the effect of cats/exhausts/coolers on boost numbers

It's based on what boost you are running at maximun power. say your boost curve tapers off and your running 14 down to 12psi top end (where max power is achieved) with 280rwkw if you were running 14 psi at maximun power your power level will be higher than 280rwkw, so its not really running 14 psi is it

cats and exhaust and intakes, are for efficiency so even if you don't up the boost much, with a freely flowing exhaust and intake the car will be much more responsive and feel quicker becasue of it...
