I also sell these systems all day, and yeh the navman S30 is the way to go for sub $400 and you dont need text-to-speech or mobile control.

trying out the new tom tom 720 now, and it's also very easy to use; bluetooth phone control, fm transmitter, mp3, text-to-speech, big screen rrp is around $800

without those features then then tom tom one/oneXL are great too @ around $479/$579 respectively

the high end garmins are great if nothing but the best will do, very slim, big battery life, extremely accurate and can have language translators in them and even convert translations into audio files.

by the way, if anyone in WA wants one of these, I can be of assistance (and by the looks of things can save you a bit of coin compared to what the above members have been paying - sorry guys) I'm at the good guys in osborne park 08 9202 8900

TOM TOM is a OK product even a old fool like me can use it

May not listen to but can use it hahahaha I am sure I have heard it sigh with a few of my early turns

Street pilot C320 is terrific (wife's car) , the Blaupunkt integrated into the premium system (my Phoon) is abysmal.
