Hmm, no they are under the plastic cover on top of the engine :crazystuff:

Yes, there is a black cover which runs the length of the engine, and is held with about 8 socket head screws, they are under there.

If you remove the cover, you will see the ignition coils and the wiring, which has to be disconnected and the coils pulled up to get to the plugs.

Be aware that they are deep in the head, and no 6 cylinder is a bastard to get to.

Oh, also they are the small size hex, so you need a socket for that.

Had a little chuckle when I saw the title.

Have to admit, the same happened to me a couple of years ago. I had the new plugs ready to go and was stumped when I removed the heat shield and couldnt find the old plugs. Got under the car and couldnt find them under the inlet manifold either. Its funny now looking back but unless youre told its not that obvious.

Im expecting someone to come on now (probably envy-t) and say something like...if the cyls are vertical and if theres 4 valves per cyl then the plug will be mounted in a vertical and central position to the cyl. (ha! - got in 1st)

So if there a bastard to get to how would you messure the gap with the feeler guage ?

so am any tips on a noob changing the spark plugs I just need a bit of help on geting to em

so remove the 8 bolts on the black piece of plastic and with that plastic is there a gasket to stop oil leaking?

cause I was thinking the whole rocker cover had to come of

and any prices on spark plugs?
