Wright'y Member 226 Member For: 22y 6m 1d Gender: Male Location: Darwin, NT Posted 03/03/07 12:58 PM Posted 03/03/07 12:58 PM that sound your hearing is probly the turbo bearings, with out oil pressure.U shouldnt ever cane your car when it is cold, especialy a turbo charged car as the turbo needs to have a good supply of oil and it needs to be warmed up slowly.the best thing to do is stay off boost and creep around untill the car reaches operating temp. then dont go and nail it, you should aslo bring the turbo on and off very low boost and work it gently before you punish it. And when you shut it down dont give her a big floging and turn it off, if you can think ahead 5 mins before you arrive where ever you are going drive like a grandmar or let your car idle for a minute to let the turbo slow down. If you try and follow this procdure every time you drive it, and clean your turbo screen every once and a while your turbo will last a long time.
