I too have heard about the core shift problems on the BA blocks.. when was this resolved?danny Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/32727-limit-of-pistons/page/5/#findComment-513661 Share on other sites

It's great to know that my local ford spare parts know the difference Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/32727-limit-of-pistons/page/5/#findComment-513672 Share on other sites

Ninka Donating Members 1,850 Member For: 22y 4m 19d Gender: Male Location: Perth, WA Posted 10/04/07 11:23 AM Author Share Posted 10/04/07 11:23 AM (edited) As promised, hereby pictures of the block, Atomic 'Fat Rods' and Mahle pistons.Photos on the scale shows the difference between stock piston weight and Mahle forged pistons. As you can see, the piston is 40 gr lighter than stock, but the 'Fat Rod' is 40 gr heavier than an F6 rod, so all up the rotating mass is the same when compared to an F6 stock engine.Engine rebuild is starting this week, with block, crank, rods and flexplate going out for machining and balancing, as well at integrity check, so hopefully I can strat putting it all together late next week Edited 10/04/07 11:24 AM by Ninka Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/32727-limit-of-pistons/page/5/#findComment-519872 Share on other sites
