U need coolant!!!

that ally will melt to ya jigsaw blade quick smart.. as for cirular saw blade :bangcomputer:

its your life I guess....

HAHAHA.

Yeah, the circ saw was a last ditch effort.. Really not too bad. Ally is soft, hard metal I wouldn't attempt.

I've trial fitted it ( Lower half supplied by Simon from Xtreme - No cost!! ) All lines up perfectly. Just have to tap a couple more holes for air lines/sensors and it's ready to go.

Have cleaned her up and just about to go out and spray it. Looks better than the original pix from a bit of elbow grease..

how bout a half worn 9' blade on a circular saw!??!? now that's fun!!! :bangcomputer:

You have to turn the blade around backward to cut steel or it grabs to much :crybaby: I have seen it all on the building site....

Nice design, would it have been easier to get a piece of 125nb pipe cut the bottom off get a plate made to sit onto the lower 1/2 of the plenum then weld together. It would something like a Nizpro unit then...

How much did you pay for the lower plenum half?

I already have the material for the next one earmarked. It's rounded, so it will be better for airflow..

My aim with this one was to see if any benefit can be had from a backyard approach to shortening the air path.

If it's even remotely successful I'll use the other material for a 'proper' design and incorporate my own theory of lower half runners combined with my theory on volume/size etc....

Installed, ready to rock..

Used the Nizpro intercooler rubber pipe, absolutely perfect fit, and I didn't even measure for it!!!!

It looks very good sitting there, matches the shape of the rocker cover nicely.

Tomorrow I'm ( GENTLY ) off to the dyno :spoton: ( hopefully ) or Tuesday at the latest!!

Very rewarding exercise, even if it doesn't work the way I want to, or at all!!

Just need to get a 'wog' rocker cover garnish to finish the top of the engine off. Then I'll get them both 'properly' painted in a silver, or silver/black combo..

Looks like quite a few of the ones I saw at Motorvation. Hats off to ya for the effort and hope that it works and/or helps.

It's amazing how much cleaner things look without the extra meters of piping though.
