Our side of the river is better than your side of the river. Our hero is stronger than your hero. Our XR6T is shinier than your SS-V. People will always break off and form their tribes, no matter how enlightened they are and they'll always defend them, no matter how wrong they are.Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people. - Karl Marx 1844.Lumpy
29/11/06 12:45 PM29/11/06 12:45 PM #22 Religion is just a easy way to keep the huddled masses in check. While I think that the human principals are important, religion has no place in modern life. You always hear about people arguing over "gods" yet both the Muslim and christian faiths are BOTH based on the SAME god. The only difference is if it was Jeasus or Mohammod that was the prophet.Nearly every war has started over this pointless argument.Arguing over religion is like arguing whoes imaginary friend is best.I personally am a devout Athiest and proud of it. Religion is for the gulible, and while I know that I may get flamed for this, I believe that religion will die a slow death. With every generation less and less people believe.

To the Jew's, both Jesus and Mohammed are prophets of god but not the second coming of God himself. The Christians have Jesus up on that pedastal but acknowledge Mohammed as a messenger of god and it's around the other way for Muslims. They believe in the same God, acknowledge the same blokes, even use each other's scriptures and they STILL fight over who's right Lumpy
29/11/06 07:49 PM29/11/06 07:49 PM #24 It seems like people are now selling religion. I just dont underdstand why there is a need for this.←This is because the catholic church is the largest business/money making organisation in the world... And its all TAX FREE!!! Businesses advertise for new clients. Why wouldn't they aswell? that's all it is these days unfortunately. And it scares me the amount of info they would have covered up in the vatican somewhere that completely debunks their teachings, just to protect their investment...
29/11/06 11:22 PM29/11/06 11:22 PM #26 I would never fight for a god. But I would fight for my country, and go through the hardships and keep goin for my mates.Scotty←Now that's a real reason! Not a fictitous and pathetic excuse to blame something for your own flaws.
