dont take this as a stab at cristianity or anything of the like, im about as catholic as a house brick and belive in living for the moment. what u wanna believe during and about the afterlife is upto you.

BUT after watching "Borat" the movie last night the scene where he goes into the church gathering/preachings disturbed me a bit. (yes I know this whole movie is disturbing but it shows ON THE SPOT, NO DIALOGUE filming)

Just how extreme and full on they took religion and their beliefs and without a second of thought, FORCED it onto this newcomer!! (borat). the way they so called "released the demon inside" and rambled on total sh*t!!! not so much that in itself, but just the way they went about it and how insane they are about their christianity kinda scared me in a way, made me realise just why america is so damned stupid and one-eyed to what "their rights" and "their beliefs" are about. they are so goddam ignorant and blatantly stupid its a joke!

if that's the way this country is headed im sorry but im a little worried....

It is heading that way now. Some of the 'Hillsong' Churches (similar evangelical organisations) greatest proponents are members of the front bench of both government and opposition. John Howard draws many staffer from members of the 'Select Brethren', a highly fundamentalist sect, the equals of any Muslim Fundamentalists.

We, as a nation are getting further and further right, prude and puritanical by the day.

I agree, religion is not above debate.

If people are being persecuted for their beliefs then by all means delete, but until then, good friendly debate go on.
